Friends in Christ Weekly Message
July 7, 2007

Later the Master selected seventy and sent them ahead of him in pairs to every town and place where he intended to go. He gave them this charge:
What a huge harvest! And how few the harvest hands. So on your knees; ask the God of the Harvest to send harvest hands.

On your way! But be careful - this is hazardous work. You're like lambs in a wolf pack.
Luke 10:1-3 (Message*)

How many would be ready to follow Christ if they really knew of Him and understood His message? More are needed to spread the message, and Christ asks us to pray that more will be sent on this work.

The work is not easy - in fact, it may be hazardous. But we are not asked to do it alone; note that Christ sent his disciples out in twos.

Are you engaged in the work of the harvest? Are you praying for God to send more harvest hands?

Bill Samuel
