Praise the Lord and pray in his name!
Tell everyone what he has done.
Sing praises to the Lord! Tell about his miracles.
Celebrate and worship
his holy name with all your heart.
Psalm 105:1-3 (CEV*)

A thankful heart is key to right living. The psalmist tells us to praise the Lord; to celebrate and worship his holy name with all our heart. Let our praise be unreserved and wholehearted.

We each have much to be thankful for. Sometimes we focus on the things that disappoint us and take for granted all that we have. That's precisely the wrong attitude. Instead of focusing on what we wish had been different or could be different, we need to focus on all that God has given us. We need to see all the good things in our lives as blessings from God and praise the Lord for them.

Once we've focused on the blessings in our lives, we need to do more. When we've got our focus right, I think it comes naturally. We need to tell others about the blessings. We need to share the good news, not keep it to ourselves. And with that focus, we will also find ourselves praying in his name.

Dear friends, think about all God has done for you. Praise the Lord and worship God with all your heart. Share the good news with others. And bring your thankful heart to the Lord in prayer.
