Friends in Christ Weekly Message
August 8, 2009

Stop being bitter and angry and mad at others. Don't yell at one another or curse each other or ever be rude. Instead, be kind and merciful, and forgive others, just as God forgave you because of Christ.
Do as God does. After all, you are his dear children. Let love be your guide. Christ loved us and offered his life for us as a sacrifice that pleases God.

Ephesians 4:31-5:2 (CEV*)

Do you ever get bitter or angry at others? I know I do. Paul tells us to stop that.

Paul tells us to be kind, merciful and forgiving, remembering how God has been to us. It dishonors Christ's sacrifice for us when we yell at each other or even be rude. If we really let Christ live in our hearts fully, we will stop behaving like that. And Christ yearns to do just that because of His great love for us.
