Friends in Christ Weekly Message
November 6, 2010

Still, I know that God lives - the One who gives me back my life -
and eventually he'll take his stand on earth.
And I'll see him - even though I get skinned alive! -
see God myself, with my very own eyes.
Oh, how I long for that day!

Job 19:25-27 (Message*)

Job makes this assertion after suffering horrible things and not being understood by his friends. In the end, he still has an eternal hope. He still trusts that God is for him ultimately.

Probably none of my readers has suffered to the extent Job did. I know I haven't. No matter what our circumstances, do we retain our eternal hope and trust that God ultimately cares for us?
