What you'll get is the Holy Spirit. And when the Holy Spirit comes on you, you will be able to be my witnesses in Jerusalem, all over Judea and Samaria, even to the ends of the world.

This is Jesus speaking to his disciples immediately before He ascends to heaven. By extension, we can view Jesus as speaking to His followers in all places and times.

We have been given the Holy Spirit. This Spirit indwells us and enables us to be witnesses to Jesus Christ in the world.

The Holy Spirit gives us the power to actually live differently. It is the witness of changed lives which is most able to impact others for Christ. It is out of our changed lives that we can speak truth authentically to others.
