Friends in Christ Weekly Message

I celebrate and shout because of my LORD God.
His saving power and justice are the very clothes I wear.
They are more beautiful than the jewelry worn by a bride or a groom.
The LORD will bring about justice and praise in every nation on earth,
like flowers blooming in a garden.
Isaiah 61:10-11 (CEV*)

The prophet puts in this extravagant song of praise in the midst of his prophecy. Prophets are particularly sensitive to the amazing power and wonder of God.

Do you believe in the power of God and the beauty of its manifestation the way Isaiah does? Do you find yourself from time to time being so overcome with the awesomeness of God and God's promises that your only response can be extravagant praise? If not, I pray that you will come to that place in the new year.
